Annual day camp provides fun with a purpose at an affordable price

PHOENIX— (May 1, 2024) – When the school year ends, summer fun begins at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) for thousands of children. BGCAZ is beginning registration at 17 Valley Clubs for affordable and engaging educational Summer Day Programs on June 1. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summer Day Programs are available five days per week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and families can sign up by week. In keeping with the BGCAZ priority outcomes for youth, summer rotations include programming around Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character & Leadership, and Career/Workforce Readiness Summer Programs.

The Clubs have added Academic Enrichment daily to stem summer learning loss and our staff members are focused on the social/emotional welfare of our members.

Daily programs include:
• Arts
• Sports and recreation
• Education enrichment, including STEM programs
• Technology access and skill building
• Social recreation
