The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation Invests $120,000 in Boys & Girls Club Scholarship Recipients

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix (BGCMP) has been awarded a $120,000 grant from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation to establish a full-time College Access and Success Manager. The new position will benefit both Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale (BGCS) by managing the multiple scholarships available to Club youth and providing direct support to scholarship recipients throughout their college career.

Big Surf Waterpark is offering its best ticket deal of the summer for four days to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.  On June 20, 26, 27 and July 3rd, visitors can buy tickets online and $7 of each ticket sold will be donated back to support the 13 Clubs around the Valley.

Amazon Surprises Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix with $10,000 STEM Donation

Earlier today, Amazon surprised teens and staff from Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix with a $10,000 donation to support STEM education. Following the donation, the group had the opportunity to see technology come to life during a behind-the-scenes tour of the 1.2 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Phoenix.

Buddhist Churches of America Supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix’s Efforts to Promote Literacy with it’s Members

Earlier this month, Phoenix was fortunate to host the 2019 National Conference of the Buddhist Churches of America. As a demonstration of how diverse communities are interconnected in making society a better place for all, teenagers from the Junior Young Buddhist Association (JYBA) –  representing temples across the U.S. – decided to conduct a book drive to benefit the members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix Honors 11 Teens at Annual Gala

Iyana, a Senior at Metro Arts Institute, has been a Club member since she was 9 years-old. She credits the Club with providing her a safe and caring environment when she needed it most.  Iyana served as her school’s Student Body President last year and coaches volleyball and soccer at the I.G. Homes branch.
