Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) announced its sponsorship of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program administered by the Arizona Department of Education, Community Nutrition Programs. Meals will be made available to enrolled participants at no separate charge without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
Boys & Girls Clubs of The Valley (BGCAZ) and local Ross Stores Associates joined forces for a grand celebration of Ross’ 10th annual “Help Local Kids Thrive” in-store fundraiser, which raised more than $120,000 to support Phoenix area Club kids in just three weeks.
When the school year ends, summer fun begins at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) for thousands of children. BGCAZ is beginning registration at 17 Valley Clubs for affordable and engaging educational Summer Day Programs on June 1. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Knowing the critical role heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems play in creating a safe and comfortable environment, ECM Technologies, a local HVAC efficiency and energy conservation technology company and Tolin Mechanical, the leading innovative commercial HVAC service company in the state of Arizona, have undertaken a mission to enhance the HVAC systems for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ).
The gala was hosted at the Westin Kierland, to honor Bubba and Blair Moffett and Crescent Crown Distributing for their longtime commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley and many other local organizations. The program also recognized 12 outstanding Club teens, the “Youth of the Year.” These Boys & Girls Club members have overcome incredible obstacles to succeed and shared their inspirational stories. The show was hosted by Arizona Sports 98.7’s Tim Ring. In addition to hearing from the Youth of the Year representatives, guests enjoyed a large silent auction of items including concert experiences, high-end jewelry, restaurant experiences, sports memorabilia and an animated live auction of world-class vacations and items bidders can’t find anywhere else.
Thunderbirds Charities, the charitable arm of the Phoenix Thunderbirds, has awarded a $125,000 grant to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley’s XYZ Branch. The funds, generated by the WM Phoenix Open, will support stronger safety for more than XYZ youth through the building of a secured entrance.
