Arizona Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Names Bailey M. – 2022 Arizona State Youth of the Year and Evie C. – 2022 Arizona Military Youth of the Year

The Arizona Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and presenting sponsor Fiesta Bowl Charities are proud to announce the selection of Bailey M. as the 2022 Arizona Youth of the Year. Bailey is a senior at Agua Fria High School and is a member of Avondale’s Bob Bové Branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley. Evie C., a sophomore from Catalina Foothills High School and a member of the Davis-Monthan AFB Youth Program was selected as the 2022 Arizona Military Youth of the Year.

Thunderbirds Charities Awards $50,000 Grant to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) is getting a lift from Thunderbirds Charities in the form of a $50,000 grant. The funds will be used for a much-needed cargo van to transport program supplies to thousands of kids and make facility improvements at the Clubs’ 27 locations.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley Reveals the Renee Parsons Girls Leadership & Excellence Award Winners

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) has announced the fifth annual Renee Parsons Girls Leadership Award. Established by businesswoman and philanthropist, Renee Parsons, the award honors girls who have showcased three fundamental leadership qualities – collaboration, assertiveness and empathy – and provides the awardee the opportunity to be granted up to $80,000 of scholarship funding over four years as well as a new laptop.

Apple Teams Up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to Bring New Coding Opportunities to Young Learners

In celebration of Computer Science Education Week, Apple and Boys & Girls Clubs of America today launched a new program that will bring coding to Boys & Girls Clubs in more than a dozen US cities. This new collaboration will bring coding with Swift to tens of thousands of students across the country, building on Apple’s existing partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America through the company’s Community Education Initiative in support of its Racial Equity and Justice Initiative.
