Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley – Arizona (BGCAZ) Will Open Clubs for Impacted Families
In response to the closings of a number of Valley school districts, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is opening local Clubs impacted areas during school hours to serve our members and the greater community. We came to this decision, despite the increase in costs, to be able to support our community.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to operate as long as we are able to provide a safe environment for young people. As always, we place the safety of our youth and staff at the highest level.
Serving youth who need us the most.
As an organization, we are working hard to be a reliable partner for our families and the families of those emergency health care, public safety, and essential service workers. This is not a decision that we have come to lightly – your health and safety is our top priority.
Clubs are available to current members and open to new members with priority being given to healthcare and essential employees. Space is limited based on each location’s capacity.
We are open to serve families that are not able to telecommute for their work and children that rely on the school systems for daily meals.
If your child(ren) shows any symptoms or falls into CDC criteria of high risk, keep them home.
Additionally, if you can keep your child(ren) at home due to the ability to take time off or employer who allows you to telecommute, please do so.
