Dunkin’ Goes Bananas: Savannah Bananas and Dunkin’ Team Up to Deliver Game Tix to Five Deserving Valley Youth

PEORIA, Ariz. (Friday, February 9, 2024) –  Dunkin’ Goes Bananas: Savannah Bananas and Dunkin’ Team Up to Deliver Game Tix to Five Deserving Valley Youth

WHAT:

The “Greatest Show in Sports” will continue to run on Dunkin’, as the brand today announced the continuation of its partnership naming Dunkin’ as the favorite coffee and donut of the Savannah Bananas. As part of the team’s Banana Ball World Tour, the Savannah Bananas are hitting the road to play in Peoria’s own Peoria Sports Complex for a three-game series February 15, 16 and 17.

Among the fans in the stands next week will be several deserving teens and youth that have overcome challenges and are leaders in their neighborhoods and families. Each of the youth below will be surprised with tickets, goodies, gift cards and pictures with “Sprinkles” – the Dunkin’ donut mascot on Friday the 9 when they are given the good news they were selected to go to next week’s games:

  • Aiden and Owen, twin boys, age 14, both play baseball and are Phoenix Children’s Hospital patients
  • Brody, age 9, also loves and plays baseball and he is a Phoenix Children’s Hospital patient
  • Tommy, a high school boy that is part of the City of Peoria’s Adaptive Recreation Program. He participates in Special Olympics, plus Peoria’s after school/summer programs. His grandpa recently passed and their family could use the good news. They don’t have discretionary resources to attend a game but would enjoy it so much.
  • Miley Hawkins, is 16 and a sophomore at Deer Valley High School. She was chosen because she is representing the 2024 Youth of the year for the Glendale Sands branch due to her academic accomplishments, volunteerism, and exceptional mentorship to the other youth. She plays softball and is hoping to attend NAU to major in psychology.

Aside from the game, Miley, Aiden, Brady, Tommy, Owen and all the Banana’s fans can enjoy Bananas’ fan-favorite Donut Batter of the Night feature February 15, 16, and 17, where fans at Peoria Sports Complex will receive free MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats when the opposition’s designated “donut batter” goes down swinging.
