“Two Boys & Girls Clubs in metro Phoenix are merging to form what will be one of the 10 largest clubs in the nation.
The boards of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix and the Boys & Girls Clubs of the East Valley have voted unanimously to merge, which means the combined organization will serve more than 16,000 members and another 40,000 youth in 15 cities across the Valley.
Currently, 11 separately operated Boys & Girls Clubs serve more than 125,000 kids at more than 60 sites across Arizona.
But two of the biggest Boys & Girls Clubs in Arizona are combining their resources in an effort to serve more kids and achieve efficiencies. The merger is effective on Jan. 1.”
