(PHOENIX, September 26, 2012) – Batter up! The tee ball team from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix’s Tri-City West Branch is wrapping up their season in major league fashion. Several Cleveland Indians Rookie League players will visit the Club for a tee ball on September 27 and October 3! They will work with the tee ball team (ages 5-6), offering pointers on base running, hitting and catching, as well as easy techniques for each position. At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix, sports are never just about the game. They help unlock character, leadership and teamwork skills. In fact, the Sports, Fitness and Recreation program not only promotes physical fitness, but it also plays an important role in teaching young people to develop intrapersonal skills and help foster teamwork.
