Safe Passage Policy

Understanding the Safe Passage Policy

  • Members must use their cards to scan in and out each day;
  • Once members scan out of the Club, they cannot return that day;
  • Members under the age of 14 must be retrieved from the Club by a parent, guardian or other authorized adult;
  • Members age 14 and older may only leave the Club unescorted with written permission from a parent or guardian and a signed release of liability;
  • Members 14 and older may also escort other members of their household from the Club (with written permission);
  • Members that leave unescorted without written permission will face disciplinary actions up to and including suspension and termination of membership.

What does this mean for parents?

Parents will be given a Safe Passage Policy form to complete at registration and this policy will be reviewed at Orientation.  Parents of youth ages 5-13 will have the sign a form that affirms their understanding that their child may not leave campus on their own.  Parents of members ages 14 -18 will be allowed to choose if they want to their member to be able to leave campus without a parent/guardian.
